30/365 - Great Falls Paterson New Jersey

Yesterday a friend from my camera club who also started a 365 on Blipfoto posted a picture of the Great Falls in Paterson all frozen up.

So obviously after seeing that I had to finally go and check out the falls... I have been meaning too pretty much since I first moved to New Jersey but havent got around to it... See it all frozen in Marks shot got me off my butt and over there.

Rather than post a similar closeup shot I thought I would go completely the other direction and post a panoramic stitch of the whole area. The falls are under the bridge all 70 something feet of them. The building on the left is a power plant run by the water flowing from the falls.

Kind of weird to have such a large waterfall in such an urban area...
