Working Mum

This starling female is anxiously waiting for me to get out of the way so that she can get on with the feeding of her loudly squeaking family. There are now at least three broods hatched.

My son helped me with the big rose bush today. He constructed a stronger bracket for it while I reduced its mass by about a third. Then we hauled it upright and tied it with a rope. Looks a bit strange, but I'll get used to it.
