the african birthday cake............

Today is my birthday and what a day it has been! I have been on the go all day - in the morning I went to Pots of Clay - a craft morning organised by one of the local churches. They wanted to give me a donation for the work in Malawi. It was a lovely day and everybody sang 'Happy Birthday' and then gave me a birthday cake in the shape of a heart covered in strawberries and cream............yum.

Then I went to see a friend and also to say bye and got taken out for lunch for my birthday...............yum again!!

Then..........I travelled on to my sisters where three of my siblings and families were gathered to celebrate my birthday once again (we had already celebrated some weeks ago). It was also our last get together before I leave on Tuesday. So my nieces and nephews decorated this lovely cake for me complete with African house and animals..........and we had lots more food too...........so more yum!

A lovely birthday spent with some wonderful caring people..thank you! Am going to miss you all...

I am glad to be going back to a country where we eat less, otherwise I would be buying a bigger set of clothes,lol.

Two more sleeps so the packing has begun.........
