Forest path
It isn't really a forest. It's a tiny scrappy piece of woodland of about ½ an acre to the side of the boys' school. Crossing a little path down towards our house is an strip of scrappier woodland about 1/4 a mile long and maybe ¼ acre deep. I know I'm mixing up measurements and misusing acreage, but that's how my brain works. I could have thrown in some metric too, but I decided to hold back today.
With a camera I can fool myself that just beyond my doorstep is an enchanted woodland rather than a muddy fragment of wilderness.
The boys' clothes at 3:20pm Monday-Friday are reminder enough of the truth.
