Mist
Half a day's skiing and a downhill 10k afterwards. That's how we roll.
Weather wasn't so great today, snow during the morning completely blotted out the slopes above so wasn't really worth it. However, we got lucky, and by midday it completely cleared up for more blue skies and sunshine and we were back on the slopes! We were incredibly lucky this weekend to have such perfect weather.
I'm really happy with how I've come on as well. I don't ski very often and have only been a few times periodically over the years and all different countries so it's hard to build up confidence when you're only getting a few days skiing time in every few years. I feel like my confidence has really come on this trip and I'm going so much faster this time, I feel so much more comfortable on my skis and reds don't even trouble me at all anymore. Next stop, black slopes!
From the door of the flat you can run a 10k all the way down the mountain road. You can see all of the villages along the way and the views are incredible. It's really beautiful and I make it my aim to do it every time we go now. Shame I couldn't take the camera though! I ran it last year with Rob and this time Rob's Mum and I decided to run down together. Really great run, barely even noticed the distance because we just talked the whole way down, 45 mins and even saw some deer! Paying for it now though...
