Wheelchair Trolley
Very early wake up call this morning to catch my flight to Brisbane. Said goodbye to Anna, was nice of her to wake up!
John and I finally arrived at the airport and tried to get to terminal 4, however there are no parking spaces there so we were quite a distance from it. However on the way there we came across a wheelchair nobody was using to John told me to hop on and pushed me all the way there!! We hoped that we didn't steal it from an old lady or something. It was horrible going into check in. I really feel for anybody that has to been in a wheelchair as I got stared at by literally everyone...it was a very old wheelchair to be fair! Priority boarding was the advantage! John couldn't wheel me through security and I couldn't take the wheelchair through. The airline can only organise one for you at the gate. So I gave John the $50 for the crutches and took them with me.
At security I had to sit on a chair and get them to scan me, they treated me nicely but as if I had a problem. Crutches came through the scanner fine and got my back before crutching to the gate. There were no seats so sat on the ground until we boarded. Sat in a wheelchair for 10 minutes until someone wheeled me to the aeroplane. I went into a weird lift to get up into the plane. Hobbled up the aisle and finally got into my seat.
2 hour flight to Brisbane. Had to wait until all the other passengers where off the flight before I could get off. It was funny seeing all the weird lost property people had left. Lift down again and then a man wheeled me through to the baggage area. Got a call from Lucy as I didn't go through the right way so they came to meet me at the baggage bit. Duncan, Lucy and Max all came which was really nice of them all.
Lucy got a hot chocolate for me and I put my bag on the trolley and sat on it whilst Duncan pushed me to the car. So nice being back with the lovely Sayers!
We hit the beach in the afternoon after lunch. Sat with Jess under a tree and we had a good chat whilst we read our books. We got a little annoyed with the ants after a while attacking us though. When Lucy came there was a little girl that kept coming to stroke Harvey. She just stood there for ages patting him, it was very funny.
Tuna fish cakes with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce, baked potatoes with sweetcorn and a salad, very good supper!
I hit the sack earlyish.
