Pause for Bushy Parkrun

Today's long run called for 17 miles. I re-visited the loop involving Richmond and Bushy parks, extending the distance in Richmond and going round the other way, so Bushy was first.

I arrived in Bushy just in time for the 900- strong field of Parkrunners to be pounding across my route, so I had to have a rest as they thundered past, and decided that they'd make my blip for the day.

There were lots of puddles in both parks. In the end I preferred running through them to tippy -toeing around in the mud. This did mean that I ran through ankle deep water on several occasions and, for the 3rd time this week, my running shoes had to receive some TLC when I got home to help them to dry out.
