Turnstone

Another windy day but quite sunny and despite the wind it seemed quite warm in the sunshine. Walking along the north shore at Findhorn we were sheltered from the worst of the wind. First we spotted some long tailed ducks diving in the breaking waves. As I tried to photograph them I noticed this turnstone and others feeding on the edge of the water only a few feet away. The pebbles on the beach at high tide made a nice backdrop.
