The Union Canal

Decided to take a walk along the Union Canal this afternoon once it had dried up abit. The canal was quite busy with cyclists,dog walkers,runners and even a couple of canoeists taking advantage of a sunny afternoon. At the Polmont end of the canal it can get quite mucky and you have to keep skirting round the puddles so both Belle and Jerry were black but I waited until we were nearer to the carpark before getting them to jump into the canal for a bath.The view in the photo is their bath area , the sun was starting to dip behind the clouds but their was just enough of the sun's rays lighting up part of the embankment so before Belle and Jerry jumped in and disturbed the peaceful scene I took a shot .
