The milk flower

There is something very English about snowdrops (Galanthus, a perennial, herbaceous plant). I have been trying – so far unsuccessfully – to get them to grow in my garden in Argentina to remind me of the English winter. This photograph was taken just round the corner from where I live in Manchester.
