The Kelpies

I glimpsed Andy Scott's 'Kelpies' for the first time today following a long lunch with good friends.

Kelpies are mythological supernatural water horses in Scottish folklore and these enormous sculptures are quite fantastic. This was blipped from the car but I think it shows the scale quite well.

The kelpie on the left looks like it is going to have that car for lunch!

Once again the weekend has disappeared and poor Semi-quaver has taken to her bed feeling pretty ghastly.
