Birthday presents, how lucky I am

Am having a wonderful birthday today. My friend Blanchmange cooked me a fantastic lunch - absolutely delicious and I am still stuffed, and another friend came round baring gifts too.

Here are the presents they gave me now back at my cottage… the plant and gorgeous candle-holder and candle look very fine here as I am sure you will agree.
How lucky I am to have such caring friends.

The grave stone to the right of the candle and the fireplace pillars were originally from the Abbey and are ancient :-)
