Somewhere over the rainbow

The rainbow sums up today - sun then showers then sun and always with a cold wind. Today was Tricia's spinning day on South Uist and so I intended to use the time to go on a wild goose chase but failed dismally apart from some Greenland Whitefronts.
However as ever the light was impressive and I have always been envious of the owners of this (huge) house right on the machair at Bornish although I suspect they will have needed the legendary pot of gold to pay for all the work they have had done to it.
One final bonus was a solitary Lapland Bunting on the aforementioned Bornish machair.
