Farnborough Air Sciences Trust Museum

Thank you for all the kind remarks on my 365 yesterday.

Today, Clare and I visited Clare's aunt in Farnborough, Hants.

We spent the afternoon at the Farnborough Air Sciences Trust museum which celebrates the history of British aviation.

The big man in the early days of British flight was Col. William Cody who made the first powered flight on British soil in 1908 and was tragically killed in an early plane crash in 1913.

Today's blip is part of a replica of his 1908 flying machine, built to celebrate its centenary.
