Pensive Myles
I have been wanting to try a double exposure and I finally found some easy directions and tips on how to do it in camera. Today was drizzly and generally not a good photo op day, so Myles and a room screen were the subjects. These are not the best shots and I'm really not happy with the picture, just the fact that I was able to get it done.
When we are outside he is always curious, sniffing, running off and jumping over things like shrubs, and literally skipping across the yard, but when he settles down he stands in the driveway and looks off into the distance, listening intently to any cars approaching. You can't really see the road from our yard and drive so it is just this very focused listening and watching and he seems always to be expecting someone. Following the sounds. When a car does turn into our driveway, he is ecstatic, but still vigilant, do I know him/her? Barking protectively or excitedly if it's a family member.
"No matter how close we are to another person, few human relationships are as free from strife, disagreement, and frustration as is the relationship you have with a good dog. Few human beings give of themselves to another as a dog gives of itself. I also suspect that we cherish dogs because their unblemished souls make us wish - consciously or unconsciously- that we were as innocent as they are, and make us yearn for a place where innocence is universal and where the meanness, the betrayals and the cruelties of this world are unknown."
