Kew Gardens Bridge

The architect, John Pawson, had originally wanted the bridge to be at water level to give people crossing it a sense of being just on the surface, but the needs of swans to pass under meant it had to be a foot or two higher! It's a lovely bridge anyway, and we almost always pay it a visit when we go to Kew.
