Back in Bangkok

Saturday started at Heathrow, followed by a long journey to Bangkok via Colombo, Sri Lanka. We arrived in Colombo early Sunday morning and left as the sun was rising.

Once in Bangkok we took the train to my uncle's, slept for a bit and then headed out. There was a large sunday market with massive speakers playing what seemed to be a heated live election broadcast. On the corner or Si Lom there was a large crowd sitting under a canopy watching the action and tents were set up in the street, presumably where protesters we're camped out. The market was full of shirts saying "shut down Bangkok" and similar political slogans.

After a quick wander, some street food and pad Thai we headed back to my uncles.
