Lover of the Light
As I move into the second day of the second month, I realise that I have been very fortunate with the timing of some of my photographs. This, interspersed with being able to see the photo before it is captured, has lead to a few half decent shots in the short time I have been Blipping.
Today, I just happened to be in the right place at the right time: Even 5 minutes before or 5 minutes after would have changed this picture.
Having been shopping in town, I was headed along the seafront towards the gym, I looked to my left and saw the picture. I pulled over quickly, ran over the promenade and snapped: There were 5 or 6 others taking the same picture. The sun changed very quickly and transformed the horizon as we looked towards it: I have a few pictures which were taken within a couple of minutes of each other but there is only space for one of them on here: It’s taken ages to decide which one to use.
As I stood taking pictures, I had a huge smile on my face and felt completely blessed to live in a world that produces sights like this so frequently.
When I returned to my car, I searched my music, found Mumford and Sons “Lover of the Light’ and sang as many of the words as I could: It seemed appropriate.
