Free Fallin

Our neighbour kindly alerted us yesterday to the fact that this tree opposite our house had been damaged in the recent gales and this branch was hanging like the sword of Damocles over my car, and creaking ominously.

Following a few phone calls the Safety 'Elf has been alerted. He pricked up his little ears when we mentioned that the branch was overhanging a footpath on the other side and might fall on someone's head. Don't think they were too bothered about my car.

Now a nice young man in a van with 'Working for Warwickshire' emblazoned on its side, has turned up, surveyed the damage and is on the case.

We now await the chain saw gang.
