Ted Taking Stock!

We stopped off at St Paul's Churchyard this morning to have a look at the stocks. There has been a church on this sight since 1296 but we do not know how long the stocks have been there. On the Nelson Now and Then web-sight there was a picture of the stocks but they were in much better condition when the photo was taken.

I remember passing them when walking down the path in 1969 on my wedding day and they were in much better condition, well they would be as its 45 years ago.

So do you replace the rotten wood! Ted and me are not sure.
