Southwark Cathedral

Continuing my cathedral theme, here is Southwark Cathedral from the train. It was my final journey out of London before starting the journey North, well East initially.

I was invited to a Marie Curie Carol Concert inside Southwark Cathedral a number of years ago. The interior is impressive (and the concert was excellent).

Most cathedrals tend to have a bit of space around them but this one always appears as if it is sprouting out from between its neighbouring buildings. Of course, it was probably there first!
