Halloween last night and "Trick or treating" for the boys (or "guising" as we stubborn Scots still try and cling on to.)

We were at a party close to Lady Findhorn's castle but sadly didn't see her out on the broomstick.

What was heartening was the amount of people who put a pumpkin outside their door or in the window to say that the kids were welcome.

Where we used to live the offer of sweets was often met with derision and a demand for cash - how unsporting!
