Chinese bottle

I found this colourful bottle in a cupboard in the kitchen, a gift from a grateful Chinese student some years ago. Not being Alice in Wonderland, I am not especially anxious to sample it without knowing if it is hard liquor or paint stripper. Any comments would be very welcome.
