My sister and I :)
Taken almost 20 years ago when I was considerably less bright haired and much more Goth! We went through a bit of a phase of taking these photo-booth pics together and I've had this and some of the others stuck to the mirror in my bedroom at Mum+Dad's ever since.
This one was taken at Waverley Station before we headed through to Glasgow to see The Charlatans at The Barrowlands. Claire had just gotten over Glandular Fever (she was super-skinny having barely managed to swallow anything for 3 months) and I was really bad with ME and totally exhausted but determined to go anyway! We'd had loads of Redbull and Vodka (that's what is in the cup) and I had the best part of a packet of Pro-plus (caffeine tablets - v bad idea, never did that again, bleugh) and despite being really ill (possibly even more so due to the stomach pains from the Pro-plus...) had an amazing night.
A couple of years ago my friend Elaine, who had been with us at the time, reminded me about our train ride home. I couldn't find my return ticket and only had the receipt which I reckoned would be good enough, proof of purchase and all that, but apparently the conductor disagreed and we argued about it for quite some time as I refused to pay it again (didn't have any money anyway) so when we arrived in Edinburgh we weren't allowed off and the Railway Police got on! I still wouldn't budge and was possibly slightly annoyed because I knew I'd bought a ticket, and I had a receipt, so then proceeded to argue with the Policemen. It culminated in my holding my wrists out and demanding "Arrest me officer! Arrest me!". At which point they gave up and let us off with a warning not to be so daft again.
I found the ticket in my pocket the following day ;)
