Fire!!

A while ago I was introduced to a material called Kevlar. It is used in a lot of different places that you may not have realised. Anyway, the reason for the research on Kevlar is the fact it is used by those talented people who juggle with fire, or swing fire around on sticks and chains. So I bought some :)

I wrapped the piece of material round a thick length of wood and dipped the material end in some white spirit, then set it alight. It's good to note at this point that I am known as 'Mr Health and Safety' in some circles so rest assured I'd taken precautions in case anything went a little out of control...that's just in case you were thinking there was a danger I'd burnt the garden to the ground.

Only problem was, once it was lit, I had no idea what to do with it. It was great fun and I really liked the detail picked up on the moving flames (larger image is better for this). Definitely something to try again in the future I think.
