the whole hemisphere
I can think of no way of photographing a whole hemisphere. That would be the only way of capturing the full glory of this morning. My camera only extends to a tiny fraction of the horizon, just a few degrees of what sunrise had to offer. Of course, I point and press at the most colourful and intense few degrees, but the rest was integral to the experience. The sun itself was a melange of crimsons and gold with folds of frilled cloud, furling and almost aurora like. The heights of the zenith were cerulean blue with drifting lace. In the west rose-petal clouds danced and a ring of luminous tangerine cloudlets circled high in the horizon.
