Emmanuel's Ducks.

In the grounds of Emmanuel College is a large fish pond, which is part of the legacy of the Dominican Friary, previously on the site. The pond is home to a colony of ducks of various breeds and they nest in the boxes on the small island in the centre. Here you can see the mallards, the brown speckled ones are female and the green headed ones are male. There are also some funny looking small long legged ducks but they were off for a walk around the benches looking for dropped crumbs as some of the visitors sit and eat lunch in these lovely surroundings.
