I've Got A Tiger In My Glass
We picked the van up from service in Ware and I had a walk at King's Meads. I shot some lovely pochards but they weren't very close.
I called in at Amwell Nature Reserve on the way home, walked into the James hide, opened the flap and captured a kingfisher sat in the reeds and hovering. What a thrill but it too wasn't close.
As I was leaving I got a blurry shot of a goldcrest. An interesting day for birds but nothing decent to show for it.
As I sat down this evening I noticed that I'd put my wine, in a bistro glass, on top of my Chinery Insects of Britain that was on the coffee table. I love bugs and I love wine. :) I think that green tiger beetle looks great. Wonder if one can get bug coasters? (We had Duralex glasses at school which caused a certain hilarity. :))
