Alfriston flooding

With the recent persistent heavy rain and high tides, I decided to see whether I could get through to Alfriston.
The road closed signs were out but traffic was still coming through so I took the plunge and very gingerly made why way through the flooded road and past the car park on my left which was under water (just off picture to the left).
I walked along the river bank - what was left of it and it just looked like there were 3 separate rivers and not the usual one with fields either side.
My thoughts are with all the poor people who have had to live with the flooding since Christmas with almost no rest bite.
