Ceremonial Fan

We were visiting various rock hewn churches in Tigray today. Sensational structures carved out of the rock. The Abuna Abraham is one such church.

However, it wasn't just the church that blew me away, but this 15th century ceremonial fan that they still use today. It depicts the Virgin Mary and the 12 apostles . . . I think.
