I like the red curls on the ends of the flax seed pods, especially when a low sun is behind them. New Zealand flax, Phormium.

There was a heavy fog this morning. It cleared to a hot sunny day, about the hottest we have had this summer. I had a slow day after spending more than three hours on the mountain yesterday. All that climbing, bracing against slipping on the loose stones, bending and crouching to get the shots has left me with all sorts of sore places. Still, it was worth it.
