The old house

We left home this morning on the start of our big adventure. Heading through the Waimate Gorge we come across a wallaby that had been hit by a vehicle. We had to turn around and get the local vet to come out to rescue it. We managed to get a blanket over it to cover it up to calm it down. We got a phone call later in the day telling us it had to go to Wallaby heaven as it's back leg was shattered. This is an old house in the historic precinct at Cromwell. A day in Wanaka tomorrow and then up the Coast.
