This is a little village on my Sunday afternoon bike ride. Today I towed along a 15 year old who had left his energy on the sofa. A puncture elongated the afternoon but the sunshine was ace and provided thinking time.

The sign captures the local tone, the sea, fishing, sailing barges and cereal crops. Thames barges used to carry the produce of the villages down to London - now I go by train. Going by barge sounds better.
