This was the mother of all macaroni 'n' cheeses.
Based on an old(?) family recipe, it contained various pounds of highly calorific, yet delicious, ingredients. The topping was crafted from....wait for it....Ritz Crackers. I love Ritz Crackers, but I had temporarily forgotten about them. God, they're good. (Half of the topping also had some bacon in it, but being a vegetarian I do t feel the need to dwell on that.)
I congratulate Frau G on this culinary tour de force and thank her along with Frau R and Herr M for a delightful evening.
