Seed Eating Bug

Been busy preparing for a departmental seminar. Part of the research involves trying to determine whether insects are eating the seeds of a rare Nova Scotia plant I'm studying. This hairy beast, and several friends were found perched on top of seed pods late last summer. The best, educated guess from our departmental entomologist is a "Seed Eating Bug." I think the name says it all...
