Arriving at the Pyramids Motel

They arrived at the Pyramids Motel in van Reenen's Pass in the Drakensberg Mountains, roundabout lunchtime.

This idyllic little place sits right next to the N3 Highway, between Harrismith and Durban, at approximately 1700m (5600ft) above sea level!

They encountered very thick mist in the van Reenen's Pass and could hardly see more than 5ft around them, it was real scary to do that on a motorbike! They worried that they will not be able to see the turn off to the Motel, but miracles do happen!! ;-)

Just before the turn off, where the name sign appeared, the mist cleared a wee bit and they could turn into the premises safely!

I could not decide which one of the pics to blip, because I really want to show some of the awesome nature and beautiful mountains around there, but at the same time I wanted to show M&Z the little 'Pyramid Chalets'! M will remember how we used to sleep over there when on our way to Durban for holidays!
