Yuck!

The not so pleasant side of rain in a hot climate is bugs!

We woke up to find a few wings of flying ants on our bedroom carpet but nothing prepared us for the volume of them at our front door.

Attracted to the outside lights, there were thousands of the things. Thankfully the Weaver birds were already having a feast as that meant there were very few of the squiggly bits left to clean up.

The up side is that they tend to all come out at once so we won't be finding any more for quite a while. I hope!
