Stirling Banner
This banner has been presented to the Stirling Smith Museum and Art Gallery to mark 140 years since its opening. It was designed and produced by members of the Stirling Embroiderers' Guild who are currently also holding an exhibition of their work in the Smith, which is well worth a visit.
The banner is in three panels depicting Stirling's geographical setting at the top and some of its well known buildings , including the Wallace Monument, The Castle and Cambuskenneth Abbey. Between each panel are embroidered versions of the Stirling Heads which can be seen in more detailhere
