Bier Time

Left early this morning to catch the 9am Eurostar. The plan for the day was to head to the Brugges bier festival. Arrived at 2pm and we were greeted with lovely blue skies. There were 9 of us (some pulling out at the last minute). We checked into our hotel. We had two really large apartments which would have 14-16 people easily. After check in we ventured down to a pub where we ordered the first round of beers and frites along with other snacks to set us up for the evening. After lunch we ventured along the streets and towards the main square where I captured this shot. Brugges is postcard pretty so took so many great shots on the first day. Then around 4pm it was time for the bier fest. The place was extremely busy with hundreds of beer and breweries present. My favorite for the evening was called black mocha which had 13% alcohol volume. As we arrived late we missed the 26 percenter! Drinks were ridiculously cheap and I haven't had so many beers in a long time. Around 10pm we all went to grab a bite to eat (more frites on offer as well). Then group of four made it through to the clubs while the others retired for the night.
