A little help from my friends

Total emergency blip.
I have to say that Ethel was very helpful in taking this blip. She walked in front of me numerous times making sure her tail was in focus.
We can play find the dust bunny. I almost passed out after I looked at this. It's ok you aren't going to have to eat off of my floor.
We are projected to get a foot of freaking snow tomorrow. I am over the snow thing.
These are my LLBean boots. In Maine a lot of us wear them. They are to Maine what Wellies are to England. I bought my first pair when I was 15 after saving my babysitting money. I was SO cool I could hardly stand myself.
Here is the kicker. They are slippery, unlined and incredible hard to break in.
Seriously, this is how moronic I am. I wear these all the time. Why? I don't know. They are lined with furry linings that came from an old pair of black rubber lobster boots.
My nephew used to call them my bears.
So I wear them because they are habit. I have fallen on my bum about 6 times this year wearing these boots. But I put them on when I left the house tonight.
You know how they say a picture paints a thousand words. In this picture not one of those words is sexy.
If you think they are, seek help immediately you need meds.
Oh and they go up to my knees. Wooooo hoooooo hold yourself back men.
Many times I have taken out the Wellies and tried to wear them in the snow. They are sturdy, safe and totally walk able in the snow. But they aren't the Maine staple of boots.
(My cowboy boots are not an option in the snow. Ok they are an option a bad option. They are leather soled and very slippery. I am reminded of about a month ago sliding down a snow bank and sliding under the car)
I provide a great deal of amusement for my husband and father.

So I guess the point is habits are hard to break no matter what they are. I love these boots. They remind me of every winter of my life for the last 40 years. I always have had a pair of these. I also have a pair of my moms and wear them and feel her.

Tomorrow I am installing a light in the kitchen with my husband. Come to think of it........rubber boots may come in handy.
