Loy Krathong at the Benjasiri Park
Loy Krathong is a traditional Thai festival held on the full moon of the 12th month of the Thai lunar calendar. People float (loy) small elaborately decorated rafts (krathong) in a river (or when a river is not close, a pond, a lake or even a swimming pool will do). The rafts are decorated with flowers, incense sticks and candles, and traditionally a few coins are also added as an offering to the spirit of the river.
