It's so bracing!

It's been another day of constant rain showers and darkness. We had the house lights on at 2.30 today because of the low cloud and drizzle, but never ones to give in we went off to the beach for a bracing walk and that what we got.

We were braced to the skin in fact.

Then back to the house for a soup lunch followed by an afternoon bath. Why does having a bath in the afternoon seem so decadent? The truth is that the log burning stove produces so much hot water from the back boiler that if we don't use it we have to run it away, which does seem a bit of a waste.

Anyway, in between the showers the light in The Glen was wonderful so we did try to make the most of it.
