Exploring Coverdale

We all went for a walk today. A circular route from the cottage. There are many such routes, but this one is particularly interesting because of the various different bridges you have to cross. I carried Orla in the Bushbaby for about half the way, then Matthew carried her the rest. She weighs about two stone now so I felt as light as a feather when Matthew took over.

The evening was kind of schizophrenic. There was a Spanish theme, a Hallowe'en theme and we also marked the 1000 days to go until the Olympics.

There was a Spanish theme to dinner to signify the slideshow of our Spanish trip. Anne made a traditional Spanish chicken, chorizo and olive casserole and we had the wine from the bodega in Spain that we had brought back especially for this event. Matthew also prepared some Sangria.

We all had Hallowe'en masks to wear and we popped into the Forrester's Arms for a drink before dinner which was all decked out with Hallowe'en decorations with the staff in costumes.
