As I took the photo, I spotted the behemoth lurching high behind her.
"Run Gertrude, get out of there! It's one of those things from War of the Worlds!"

"Sod off" shouted Gertrude.
"I've only got a few minutes until I'm back on the phones in the office, so if this is the end of the world, I'm going to enjoy this last ciggie."
