Wo die Blumen sind

Elswout

Seven children aged 4-8 yrs came along with me for a walk to the beautiful 16th century estate Elswout ("Alder wood"). The clouds were coming in darkly as we left and we were sure we would get soaked in the rain, and although we did not care, we were lucky and had sunshine and dramatic light. There is a wonderful large park there, sheep, deer, Swiss-style bridges over mini-gorges and mysterious black trout in the pond. Which we were looking for, but they must have been hiding in the mud. Behind here are the dunes and a little further the North sea. I'd left my camera so I would not be tempted to take photos, but I did have my trusted old mobile phone with me....
