another year

I had the great fortune to see my little brother (who was in a car accident - we're all lucky he's alive and recovering well), his family, and my Mom today. Mom was helping out little bro for a while and she needed a ride home, so I took the day off from work and was happy to be her chauffeur.

My Dad passed away back in January of 2008 - it's been six years now . . . When I arrived at Mom's house and offered to help put some boxes away from the holidays, I could see Dad's mark everywhere - especially on this box of Christmas ornaments. I love how he illustrated the old cardboard box. He was quite an artist.

I miss him so much.
