Encroaching modernity

There used to be an Ancient Order... of something here.

There used to be a Heart of Midlothian... something too.

And a Protestant Institute.

And a something or other Society.

And a Scottish Women's Protestant union.

And then someone went and installed an ugly modern entry system across this interesting old sign. Shame!
