Another rusty windmill

This windmill once pumped water from the river to nearby homes. Fully piped water etc has made this obsolete. I liked the functional chains and levers.

It is right above our swimming hole, which is relatively safe due to the small island just upstream. We usually do a couple of circuits of the eddy. Families with young children, and all come for a dip. It seemed colder today than yesterday. The lake is definitely much warmer.

Finally got some photos of our five little quail chicks plus concientious and lovely parents.
