Here be Trains

My last day in the tropics before heading home to rain and wooly jumpers.

It had been raining in typical tropical downpour fashion and had washed away the sand from some old railway tracks! The gauge is two foot and I imagine were part of a copra plantation. That's why they called it Plantation Island I guess.

There is a two foot gauge steam loco on display in Nadi by the airport. Wonder if it ever ran on those lines? Interesting in a nerdy-swat train-geek kind of way.
