Birthday Walk

Had a very quick breakfast in bed made by eldest son, packed youngest son off to school, then me and hubby headed off for my birthday walk. I was half hoping the weather would be dreadful so we would have to cancel and I could spend the day being lazy, but it turned out to be a great day.

The highest point you can see in the distance is called Mam Tor - the first part of our walk took us up to that point, then along the Great Ridge to another hill, before dropping down into Castleton. The walk was 12.5 km in total, we managed a pub lunch too :-))

Now off to have a soak in the bath. Not sure I'm going to be able to walk tomorrow!!!
